Gabzy
Gabzy was raised in a Nigerian household and spent two years living in New York. He has been immersed in diverse cultures his entire life. His varied upbringing has led to his fusion of Alte, R&B, and Afro music, fast-tracking him into becoming the artist he is today.
Gabzy started singing in the school choir at nine and continued experimenting with styles and sounds into his teens. He left university and pursued his ambition to be a footballer, playing semi-professionally for x. Along the way, Gabzy has created a name for himself as the king of melodies, having previously collaborated with Gyptian, Darkoo, Blanco, Abra Cadabra, and Odeal.
It was Gabzy’s joint EP, “Summers,” with Nigerian artist Melvitto in 2019 that put Gabzy’s name on the map and created a loyal fanbase in the UK and beyond. At the end of 2023, Gabzy joined forces with Ghanaian singer King Promise on “Perfect Combi,” which has created a further appetite for more music from the singer.
Last year, Gabzy was busy in the studio, but he still made time for his loyal fans, selling out another epic London venue, Somerset House. Gabzy is starting 2024 with the same energy as he sits on an abundance of new music that he is excited to share with the world.
