Emi Secrest – “Dap” single

Diamonds are Pressure is a reminder that in tough times, the pressure and heat of life, love, friendships, and business deals, sometimes made me feel like I couldn’t handle it. But just when I thought I was being broken, I was actually being stripped of all of that and being transformed into a beautiful diamond. All of that anxiety, disappointment, fear, hurt, and betrayal, made me into the diamond I am today. I regret nothing, I’m grateful for everything.” – Emi Secrest explained

‘Dap’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing soul vocals that will resonate well with fans of Ari Lennox, Jazmine Sullivan, and Amy Winehouse. The likable tune possesses booming bass and thudding drum-laden instrumentation flavored with neo-soul and contemporary R&B elements. Furthermore, “Dap,” the lead single from Emi Secrest’s newest project, is currently being featured on Hulu’s The D’Amelio Show.
