“We’ve all had nights we never want to end. When the morning comes, I try to let that mood trickle over. I met a guy after a great show and it felt like I was on top of the world. Also, we had a whirlwind of an evening, but in the morning, he was gone and the buzz from the night before had settled.” – Claire Ridgely
‘‘Til the Morning’ tells an interesting tale of a young woman who tips her hat to the night before when she and her significant other had a great time.
Apparently, she wants to live in that magical moment forever. Therefore, when the next day comes around, she looks forward to the evening because that’s when she gets to spend quality time with her love interest.
‘‘Til the Morning’ contains a relatable storyline and ear-welcoming vocals. Also, the charismatic tune possesses lush instrumentation flavored with a commercial pop aroma.
Claire Ridgely – “‘Til the Morning”
“‘Til the Morning’ was produced by Montreal duo Pops & Poolboy. It was recorded in the middle of summer at my home studio after going sober for a month. There was an ease to recording this one. Not only was my voice in good shape, but I had a clear approach to the song. We kept the very first take. I remember my friend Simone came over after the session and we just sat on my balcony in the sunshine, listening to Poolboy mix the tune through an open window.” – Claire Ridgely
Claire Ridgely makes an effort to find pleasure in what can be mundane day-to-day activities. But sometimes, she just wants to kick off her shoes the moment she comes home.
