ChrystalChyna is an up-and-coming identical twin duo based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, they released a beautiful rendition of SWV’s “Rain” single.

‘Rain’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who is head-over-heels in love with her significant other. Apparently, his love is as soft as a misting rain that touches her soul and cools the fire that burns within her heart. Later, she admits that she is beginning to lose control of her senses because his love is overwhelmingly overpowering her vulnerable emotions.
‘Rain’ contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and harmony-driven melodies that will surely resonate well with fans of SWV. The adorable cover possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with a ‘90s R&B vibration. Furthermore, “Rain” serves as a tasty appetizer of what listeners can expect to hear on ChrystalChyna’s upcoming debut EP. The project will be released in Fall 2021.

“We wanted to do a cover of ‘Rain’ by SWV because we wanted to pay homage to a group we have always looked up to, and related to. They are a big part of who we are as singers and who we are as brown girls, period. ChrystalChyna emerged in the spotlight from a birth announcement on the Jay Leno Show. The beautiful “chocolate-drop” twins call Natalie Cole, “God Mommy,” and they are being guided by their “Auntie” Chaka Khan. Since taking the stage with Natalie, they’ve gone on to develop their own creative voices. Lately, they have proven they have what it takes to build upon their rich musical upbringing and step out on their own. Also, they are forging a unique path of musicality, representation, and holistic artistry. Not wanting to rest on the laurels of their connections, they decided to train in a classical and contemporary voice.
