Chlöe (@chloebailey) is a popular singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, and one-half of the sister duo, Chloe x Halle. Not too long ago, she released a visually appealing music video for her sensational new R&B single, “Pray It Away.” The Madeline Kate Kann-directed video was filmed in a historic church located in downtown Los Angeles.

‘Pray It Away’ tells a heartfelt tale about a vulnerable young woman who finds herself on her knees praying in the midnight hour that she doesn’t do anything that she will one day regret. She wants to do away with all of the pain and hate residing in her heart because if she doesn’t, she might cause bodily harm to the guy who shattered her precious heart into puzzle pieces. In a dark place, she tells her ex-partner, “Lord knows I’m tryin’, I pray every night, but I can’t help that I’m messed up in the head. Tryna be saved, but you gonna need savin’ ’cause you got someone else in my bed.”
‘Pray It Away’ contains a love-gone-wrong narrative, tuneful melodies, and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of SZA, Muni Long, and Jazmine Sullivan. The emotive tune possesses saturated drums and booming bass-laden instrumentation flavored with a warm contemporary R&B vibration. Furthermore, “Pray It Away” will be featured on Chlöe’s eagerly anticipated debut album, aptly titled, “In Pieces.” The project is set to be released in March via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. Two years in the making, “In Pieces” showcases songs written, arranged, and produced by Chlöe.

Her first acting role was in 2003’s “The Fighting Temptations” with Beyoncé and Cuba Gooding Jr. Other acting appearances include Meet The Browns (2008), Disney Channel’s Let It Shine (2012), and Joyful Noise (2012). In 2021, Chlöe released her debut solo single, “Have Mercy.”
