Camille Trust – “Florida” lyric visualizer

“Something’s just different in the water there. No wonder that your ocean is on my mind. Lately, it’s making me crazy. I’m spinning around and again and it’s not me but I’ve seen the reason for setting aside all my ego for you.” – lyrics

‘Florida’ finds Camille Trust paying homage to her Floridian roots while fondly looking back on her previous life in the warm Southern state. The endearing tune contains a heartfelt narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Kesha, Ella Henderson, and Janelle Monáe. Also, “Florida” possesses soulful instrumentation flavored with contemporary pop, indie R&B, and nu-soul elements. Furthermore, the song serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on Camille Trust’s upcoming debut album, available later in 2021.

“The song encapsulates hometown memories by playing the vast differences between New York and Florida. There is longing and heartache when reminiscing about times past and an eagerness to get back to the roots which raised me.” – Camille Trust explained

Camille Trust first gained exposure in 2018 when she released her debut single, entitled, “Move On.” The song, also featured on her debut EP, “No Other Way,” accumulated over 100k streams within a few months. Since then, Trust has accrued a healthy social media following.

In addition to being a singer-songwriter, Trust is also a member of the Resistance Revival Chorus. To date, she has performed and recorded alongside Jim James, Kesha, and Carly Simon. Recently, she did backup vocals for Shawn Mendes and Nathaniel Rateliff on Saturday Night Live.
