“Some say true love never falters. It can waiver but will never break. They say it stands the test of time. But I’m questioning this day by day. ‘Cause all of the time right by your side, I stayed. While you took my heart and threw it away. You push back and forth as the sands of time were slipping away. Boy, if loving you is wrong, I just wanna be right for the moment.” – lyrics

‘Too Much to Ask’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, all she wants is someone who will need her, miss her, and love her. Unfortunately, her companion doesn’t fit that profile because he’s a brutally cold individual who oftentimes uses her.

‘Too Much to Ask’ is a song of wistful longing. The likable tune contains a relationship-based narrative and lush harmonies. Furthermore, “Too Much to Ask” is featured on Brooke Turner’s debut EP, entitled, “Why.” The project was recorded at the Digital Boombox Studio (studio of the legendary Too $hort).

“It’s confusing me you usually be using me.”

‘Why’ encapsulates the span of a relationship that eventually turns sour. Starting with the lighthearted love song, ‘Ooh,’ singing of new love. Spanning all the way to ‘Why,” a wistful reminiscence of the lost love.
