Branches is a harmony-driven foursome based in California. Not too long ago, they released a melodic indie-rock tune, entitled, “Out of My Head”, from their “All Along” EP.

Branches – “Out of My Head” single

‘Out of My Head’ begins as a tender track with a simple soundscape. Gradually, it evolves into a highly-fueled and intricately layered track.

Also, its fleeting chorus draws you in with its sinking repetition, “I can’t get you out of my head.”

The likable tune contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and melodic instrumentation flavored with a dark synth alongside indie-rock and alternative-pop elements.

Branches sounds like the musical lovechild of Florence and the Machine and Broods.

They split their time between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and describe their collaborative process as a lot like long-distance dating.

But the bubbly bunch have used this distance to their advantage, turning long drives and dreamy conversations of the future into music that feeds your soul.

So far, their musical explorations have landed them on stage with acts such as MUTEMATH, Twin Forks, Judah and The Lion, and Ying Yang Twins.

Get acquainted with Branches’ music by streaming their “All Alone” EP via Spotify.
