“Every day, we do what we do, it got me making space for your clothes and shoes. So, how about you move to my room? And now we gonna do this on weekdays too. And I’m gon’ pour you the Grey Goose, we ain’t gotta trash this party. Addicted to the me and you, I need you night and day. And now it’s getting too late, baby, a drink or two – no more for you.” – lyrics

‘Stay Over’ tells a cool tale about a young woman who wants her significant other to stay over for the weekend. Apparently, in her own words, he’s no good but worth the wait. Later, she freakishly tells him, “We can do it on the hotel floor, too bad your knees are sore. I know how you like it when we’re on all fours.”

‘Stay Over’ is a feel-good anthem about love and lust. The dancefloor-friendly track possesses sugar-sweet vocals, thudding drums, and groovy bass-laden instrumentation flavored with a festive electro-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Stay Over” follows mildly on the heels of Anassa’s debut single, “ON AND ON,” featuring MOBO award-winning rapper, Alika.

Anassa is a forward-thinking artist born out of the adrenaline rush of club culture. She has a knack for writing big tunes that fuse her clubbing roots with massive hooks, tough melodies, and soaring vocals. Before her first two singles of 2023, the rising star also featured on two huge club hits over the summer of 2022: “Summer of Love” with Tom Ferry (released on Jonas Blue’s Electronic Nature label and synced on Love Island), and “Too Blind,” the club banger from renowned UK producer, Z Dot. Simply put, Anassa is one to watch for 2023.

“You my takeaway, I be at the door for you every day.”
