Anassa – “Diamonds” lyric video

“Looking really pretty in the back of a brand-new car. Taking her to dinner in a top-down Jaguar. Racking up a bill on your master card. Push it to the limit don’t cry if we hit you hard. So, don’t let me wait, don’t wanna wait. I wanna do it, can you promise every night? Don’t let me wait, don’t wanna wait. I’ma lay here waiting, make it shiny and bright. ‘Cause don’t you know that all the girls like diamonds. Boys you better find ‘em. Don’t die trying, well I’m gonna do my nails.” – lyrics

‘Diamonds’ is an irresistible four-to-the-floor stomp that pairs Anassa’s vibrant vocals and addictive chorus with funky guitars, a slick bassline, and swooping strings. True to Anassa’s defiant pop persona, the track is an ultimatum to lovers everywhere. Anassa sings, “You ain’t gonna win her when you play that PS4. Think a little bigger than a trip to the corner store. Finger licking good, I want more. Show me all the Louis that’s all I’m asking for.”

‘Diamonds’ continues Anassa’s breakout year, following her debut single, “On and On,” the smash hit which featured MOBO award-winning rapper, Alika, and her sophomore release, “Stay Over,” which cemented the songstress as an unmissable talent on the pop music scene. Picking up where her breakthrough first two singles left off, “Diamonds” is proof that Anassa is en route to take 2023 by storm, one diamond at a time.

“Make it shiny and bright.”

Anassa is a forward-thinking singer born out of the adrenaline rush of club culture. She has a knack for writing big tunes that fuses her clubbing roots with massive hooks, tough melodies, and soaring vocals.

Before releasing her trio of 2023 singles, Anassa also featured on two huge club hits over the summer of 2022: “Summer of Love” with Tom Ferry (released on Jonas Blue’s Electronic Nature label and synced on Love Island), and “Too Blind,” the club banger from renowned UK producer, Z Dot.
