Almira Zaky is a 22-year-old Indonesian singer-songwriter from Virginia. Not too long ago, she released an appetizing debut single, entitled, “Miss Me”.

Almira Zaky – “Miss Me” single

“Isn’t it funny how you used to tell me all these things. Used to be the one for me, now you playing all these games. Isn’t it funny how, you used to beg me to stay. Even when you know you wrong, you always make the same mistakes. And I already know that you will never change. Boy, you’re such a lame. Just give me one good reason why not to walk away.” – lyrics

“Miss Me” contains a relatable narrative, ear-welcoming vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation scented with a warm contemporary R&B aroma. Furthermore, “Miss Me” serves as a wonderful introduction to what listeners can expect to hear on Almira Zaky’s upcoming debut EP.

Almira Zaky - “Miss Me” cover

“‘Miss Me’ tells the story of a young woman reminiscing on a past lover. She begins the song by singing about how ironic it was that her partner always wanted to be a better man to her. But he failed as a result of his own repeated mistakes. He begs for her love back, saying how much he misses her. But she is over the relationship after she finds out what he’s been saying behind her back. He moves on to someone else who is nothing compared to her. Knowing he’ll regret losing real love in the end.” – Almira Zaky

Almira Zaky is considered “Virginia’s next biggest female R&B artist.” Her musical influences include Kehlani, Chris Brown, JoJo, Jhené Aiko, and Ariana Grande. Also, her vibrant personality allows her to connect with various audiences.
