Abigail Bleu – “Look Ahead” single

“Look ahead, I start trends dripping in your white tee. Lost my friends, lost some men, but I can be your wifey. I like to max all your credit cards, yeah. I like to set off the alarms in your expensive cars, I got some good news, bad for you. Back for you, ‘round 82. It’s simple, you go buy diamonds, I go by Abigail Bleu.” – lyrics

‘Look Ahead’ tells the tale of an irresistible woman who has her significant other on lockdown. Apparently, she believes she’s “the one” for her companion, and has this special individual’s name on the tip of her tongue 24-7. Also, she desires for things to go her way. Therefore, she does everything in her power to live rent-free in her companion’s mind.

‘Look Ahead’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the song possesses bass-and-drums-driven instrumentation decorated with an urban-pop aroma.

From a young age, Abigail Bleu was drawn to artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse. Also, she was inspired by current artists such as Rihanna and Ariana Grande. She was raised in a big family of musicians and music lovers and gives credit to her parents who have pushed her to pursue her music career since she was a little girl.

Her musical journey started in her bedroom with a voice, a guitar, and a desire to touch others with her words. Her love for Jesus gave her a voice in the church on stage during Sunday morning worship. Also, her roots have established who she is and what she works on today.

Furthermore, “Look Ahead” follows hot on the heels of Abigail’s debut single, entitled, “Better Than Alexis”. Starting with a short melody she built the words around, Abigail identifies this song as “the highlights of a playful and addictive relationship.”

“I’m so disconnected, I just saw you text it. You want me for dinner, then I wake you up for breakfast. Baby, you’re so reckless, wear you on my necklace. You can call me Bleu, you knew I’m better than Alexis.” – lyrics

‘Better Than Alexis’ tells an honest tale of a young woman who finds herself in a one-sided relationship with her significant other. Apparently, the guy who she is with is addicted to her love. Oftentimes, he finds himself missing her severely. Therefore, he sends text messages to her phone in the early morning hours. Later, she admits that their relationship has reached the tipping point where it’s time for her to get rid of him.
