“I know you feeling hurt, you feeling played huh? And I know you feeling down, you ain’t the same, huh? But the same goes, we’re in the same boat. Don’t share the same goals, we don’t share the same h*es. We don’t share the same b*tches, we don’t share the same clothes. We don’t share the same house, all that sh*t be played out.” – lyrics

Released independently, “Broken Promises” is accompanied by a music video directed by fellow Northside Champions member, Ben Graham. The new track finds Zoovier doing his best to move on and heal while still being jaded and haunted by his past relationships. Fans of Lil Tjay, J.I. (The Prince of N.Y), Bryson Tiller, and local acts such as Youngn Lipz, will surely resonate well with “Broken Promises.”

The release of ‘Broken Promises’ will be celebrated with Zoo James’ debut headline show at Bad Decisions Bar on May 26th, supported by DJ JVP, King Duji, G-Pana, and Taahliya. For every merchandise purchase on the night, $5 will be donated to the Black Dog Institute to raise money for mental health.
