“Speak up, speak up, if you want what I want. So I can stop overthinking ‘cause I can’t turn my mind off. Maybe, you’re a lost boy ‘cause I can’t find you anywhere. And I wish I didn’t care.” – lyrics

‘Care’ tells a heart-aching tale of a young woman who shares a problematic relationship with a guy who takes more than he gives.

Apparently, their conflict bothers her. Therefore, she entertains negative thoughts that rival how she truly feels.

Later, she admits that she’s a lost girl living on a prayer and wishes she didn’t care, even though she does.

“People are confusing. We drive each other crazy with what we say, what we don’t, what we do, what we want to say. I find myself (and others) frustrated by the ‘little things’ when I shouldn’t. Many of us fixate on small things and forget to see the big and the good picture. Regularly, I ask myself, ‘Why am I dwelling on people and things, words, and experiences that shouldn’t matter?’ I feel like everyone tries to suppress those feelings of the ‘small stuff’. We wish they didn’t affect us but somehow they totally do. This song was written out about small yet (at the time and moment) meaningful action. It was written out of spite right after a guy I cared about didn’t text me back.” – Whitney Woerz

Whitney Woerz is a name you should remember. With each release, she continues to establish herself as an exciting artist to watch.

Her music, deeply rooted in personal experiences, possesses a depth and sonic maturity that extends beyond her years.

Also, her last single, entitled, “Love Me Not”, debuted at no. 14 on the YouTube Top Music Videos Chart.
