WESLEE – “Love You I Do” (Official Video)

“We’ve built out a series of immersive worlds, always expanding with more insights into us, our music, and our collaborators. The stuff that current socials and platforms just don’t give you enough of, it’s a community for our fans who truly care about the art and want to be a part of this journey. ‘Love You I Do’ is the first release as part of the ‘First World’ – it’s the portal into the space. Right now, you can sign up via our website, and you’ll learn more and more about the track… but we’ve got so much more coming which is top secret for now!” – WESLEE explained

The stunning video perfectly captures the song’s essence. The video is surrealist by nature, in which we see the doldrums of the two protagonists’ daily lives slowly interrupted by an invasion of creepy crawlies. There is a unique visual style to the animation provided by Agnes Xantippa Boman, with a warm pink wash casting the world into a perpetual golden hour.

“Love You I Do” tenderly sets the scene for this love story to unfold. The song contains lush chords that envelop the listener with ‘80s-inspired bass which brings depth and warmth. Emma DD’s vocals hover above the beat, both agile and gentle, guiding us through the vivid experience.

WESLEE was formed after the pair met in a New York recording session and instantly felt a synergy in their creative aspirations. Their debut single “Gassed” was the beginning of them amassing an organic cult following and was the fastest song to ever be crowned “Hottest Record In The World” on BBC Radio 1 just 24 hours after its release.

Since their inception, WESLEE has received support from the likes of industry figureheads Annie Mac, Mistajam, and Zane Lowe, and they have been featured across a string of major media publications. Not stopping there, the duo have enraptured fans with their outstanding live performances, which include a sold-out headline show at London’s Omeara as well as a BBC Introducing showcase at The Lexington alongside Arlo Parks and others.

As the world paused in 2020, both Emma and Josh took the time to further expand their creative repertoire and have returned more focused and dexterous than ever. Aiming to build worlds within their music, the two have found inspiration in timeless analog sounds and are blending R&B, indie, soul, and Pop to manifest their vision. “Love You I Do” is just an insight into the future for WESLEE in which there is no boundary to where their creative capability will take them.
