Todays Youth is a new supergroup/band consisting of JRDN, Melodic Yoza, and Keylow Jules. Not too long ago, they released a lyric video for their inspiring debut single, entitled, “Feel It”.
Todays Youth – “Feel It” single
“Before I fade to black, I’m going to call my friends up and tell them that it’s a thin line between love and hate. And there’s no time before Heaven’s gates. So while we breathing, I’ll be the seeking, the higher meaning of life.” – lyrics
‘Feel It’ celebrates the protests, black leaders, and the empowerment of the historic voices that gave us the freedoms to continue the fight against injustice in 2020. The video honors those on the front lines, and the many before us, who have laid down the road for us to continue the legacy.
‘Feel It’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the stadium-rock inspired tune possesses high-energy instrumentation flavored with an alternative-rock aroma. Furthermore, “Feel It” serves as a wonderful introduction to what listeners can expect to hear on Todays Youth’s upcoming debut album, entitled, “One Summer Day”.
“In this life, it’s all about give and take. And we all learn from our mistakes.”
“Now is the time to continue the good fight, and Todays Youth’s hopes to empower the future generation.”
Todays Youth creates a powerful dynamic that challenges contemporary pop music that unites listeners with energy, crowd participation, and universal messages. Not afraid to push the boundaries, Todays Youth is a dedication to future generations. With songs of empowerment and ballads of truth, the group brings a collective voice to a wide variety of influences and messages in celebration of today’s youths.
When Yaz (JRDN) met Yoz (Melodic Yoza), the universe shifted into a new age. When they united at a small basement studio in downtown Toronto, the pair met their match with the “Mad Scientist” a.k.a. “The Young Willie Nelson” a.k.a. Keylow Jules. The chemistry was already written in the stars, and the trio launched into weekly writing sessions right away. Within three months, their upcoming album was produced and ready to go.
