Sohayla Smith (@sohaylasmith) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-lingual, and multi-instrumentalist from Shelburne, Ontario, Canada. Not too long ago, she released a lovely Country single, “You Are Enough,” co-produced by Adam Fair and Sohayla Smith.

“Jason and Sara have been friends of mine for a long time. Their ‘we’ll get through it together no matter what’ kind of love is what makes them inspiring! I had a water pipe leaking in my house, and I called up Jason to fix it, (he’s a great plumber!), but instead of money, he asked for a trade. He showed me some words that (he) had written for his wife after a car accident, and asked if I could help him make it into a song. Of course, I said yes. So, I wrote the song based on Jason’s writings, it was a very personal account of their relationship. But then, I heard a different set of lyrics, which I set out to write immediately!
Normally, when I write a song for friends, I usually just let it go, however, this one was different! Once I listened to the second version, I felt it was too good to not see through to radio. I believed in it 100%. So, I called Jason, and we had a chat about the music business. Then it started to get real! I took it to Villa Sound, with producer Adam Fair, who also believed in it and wanted to co-produce it! We had some of the best musicians in Canada play on it, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.” – Sohayla Smith explained
“You Are Enough” contains ear-pleasing vocals and an endearing narrative that will resonate well with anyone who loves everything about their significant other. The appreciative tune also possesses drums, bass, banjo, and guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with a warm contemporary Country aroma.

Sohayla Smith was a supporting act for Canadian music icon Jim Cuddy in June 2021, and prior, in December 2020. Her latest Country Radio singles, Little Things, Ten Steps Back, and Better Man are now playing on radio stations across Canada.
Sohayla recently released remixes of her two Latin indie-pop hits, Quizás and Ojalá – both widely received by over 12 thousand Spanish-speaking fans around the world. The songs feature a taste of her love of flamenco.

Sohayla released her first full-length English album, I’ll Be the Meteor, in 2020. Her tours include the Canadian East Coast in 2019, and Manhattan and New York in 2018. Sohayla also won Best Country Recording at the 2018 Clouzine International Music Awards and was nominated for Best Country at the 2018 Toronto Independent Music Awards.
