Simi (@symplysimi – Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye) is an award-winning singer-songwriter and sound engineer from Lagos, Nigeria. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her blissful Afro-pop single, “All I Want,” via her independent label, Studio Brat.

“All I Want” is a happy, feel-good song for true love-seekers who “want to be truly, intentionally loved,” in the words of the songstress herself. On this exquisite stripped-back production, gorgeous harmonies and reverb-soaked synths intermingle over a mellow dancehall groove, setting the stage for the Afro-pop icon’s distinctive vocals.
The loved-up video finds Simi spending some romantic time with her significant other. The vibe is pleasant and love is abundantly in the air as the Spring season nears. With an inquiring mind, Simni sings to her companion in the back of a pickup truck, “All I want my love, no go take me play away.
