SIAS is an innovative alternative-world outfit from Detroit, Michigan. Not too long ago, they released a music video for “Habitat”, a delicious tune from their “Uncharted” EP.
SIAS – “Habitat”
“How do you define a habitat? Perhaps it’s a home. Or maybe a familiar surrounding. Or maybe it depends on who you’re asking. What some may perceive as inhabitable serves as a home to others. Also, the music video follows the adventure of three friends and the comfort they find in each other. In the city of Detroit, in their habitat.” – SIAS
‘Habitat’ contains a relatable storyline and charming pop vocals. Also, the song possesses driving electronic instrumentation flavored with electronic, dance, and R&B elements.
The electrifying trio began their musical journey in 2011 when they graduated high school and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After relocating back to the Motor City, they began collaborating and producing music out of their self-made studio in Corktown, Detroit.
From film-scores to reggae, the band pulls inspiration from an array of genres that reflect earthy, cinematic, and celestial feels. Also, their musical influences include Coldplay, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Jack Johnson, Eminem, John Mayer, Bob Marley, OneRepublic, Marvin Gaye, and Imagine Dragons.
