Shreya Preeti – “Wannabe” music video
“If I see another stupid picture, I think I might just lose my mind. It’s just the same thing every day now, feels like I’m losing track of time. And it’s sad to know that it’s all for show. What is reality anymore? I don’t want to be numbers on a screen. I just wanna be me.” – lyrics
‘Wannabe’ tells an honest tale of a young woman who declares that she doesn’t want to be a “wannabe” anymore.
Apparently, she realizes that being herself is the ideal thing to be. Therefore, she declines her friends’ request to meet them at a social location.
‘Wannabe’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses moody instrumentation scented with a warm commercial pop aroma.
“Shreya Preeti is a name you should remember and an exciting new artist to watch.”
‘Wannabe’ finds a vulnerable Shreya Preeti confessing her struggles of being true to her art while not wanting to be fake for the purpose of likes or follows.
While many of Preeti’s prior releases contain tunes that are open for interpretation, “Wannabe” makes a singular point about not wanting to just be “numbers on a screen”.
Also, “Wannabe” is featured on Preeti’s two-track single, entitled, “Willoughby”.
