The double Olivier Award-winning Old Vic production finds Sheila Atim portraying a Black girl who was adopted by a White family in 1934.

As they pass in and out of each other’s lives, their stories awaken with passion, fury and extraordinary beauty.

Also, Atim’s stellar performance won her an Olivier and an Evening Standard Theatre Award nomination for best-supporting actress.
