SHAZ is an up-and-coming Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter from South Florida. Not too long ago, she released a lovely neo-pop single, titled, “Come on Over.”
SHAZ – “Come on Over” single
SHAZ wrote “Come on Over” in 2019. The song started from a collaboration with UK-based lo-fi artist, Pointy Features, who shared his advice and talent with SHAZ. The lyrics were deeply inspired by a ‘76 red Cadillac, good weed, and the Bonnie & Clyde story. SHAY describes her significant other in a distinguished way, “Acting all cool like he’s the Fresh Prince. Looking at me like he wants affection.” Come on Over serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on SHAZ’s debut EP, entitled, “Inside Out.”
SHAZ grew up listening to Nat King Cole, Etta James, and Nancy Sinatra endlessly while beginning her classical piano training at the age of 5. Her passion for music colored her childhood and early adult life in many ways. But it usually took a backseat to expectations of traditional education and career until she moved to Austin, Texas. While there, she metamorphosized into a soul who acknowledged the importance of living your life from the inside out.
