Sevah – “The Rain” single
“Feeling of emptiness, heaviness on my chest. Get it out of your head, all I need is some rest. Just for the night when though I can’t control. I watched all day wondering if you’ll choose to stay.” – lyrics
‘The Rain’ tells a bittersweet tale of a young woman who struggles to deal with time-sensitive issues while heavy rain pours outside her home.
The gloomy tune contains a relatable storyline and delicate soul vocals. Also, the song possesses vibey instrumentation flavored with neo-soul, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B elements.
“I wrote the song while heavy medicated and recovering from a Lupus outbreak. I couldn’t go out outside due to sun sensitivity and that’s where ‘I miss the rain’ comes from. My music helps process mentally my thoughts and my feelings on things I can’t change. My art is my way of processing my struggles.” – Sevah
‘The Rain’ is featured on Sevah’s debut EP, entitled, “Distance Is Far”. Get acquainted with the 6-track project by streaming it via Spotify.
