The sassy tune was co-written by Sarah Ryder alongside legendary songwriter Marc Copely (Carole King, Willie Nelson) and Johnny Garcia (band director for “Trisha Yearwood”).
The chorus derived from an anecdote overheard from an interview with Loretta Lynn years ago. “Why would I leave my fool for another fool I don’t even know?” were words Garcia kept in mind all this time until he found the right fit with Ryder.
