“Last night I woke up and wrote down your name seven times in my notebook. And my father said it’s so hard to explain but you know when you know it.” – lyrics

‘Love Songs’ tells an emotional tale of a young woman who is head-over-heels in love with her significant other. Apparently, she’s a hopeless romantic who can’t believe how hard she has fallen in love with her partner. And now, she’s sick to her stomach, barely eating, and finding it hard to fall asleep at night.

‘Love Songs’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and heart-shaped melodies. Also, the autobiographical tune possesses vibrant instrumentation scented with a warm commercial pop aroma. Furthermore, “Love Songs” speeds through obsession, daydreams, and sleepless nights. Also, it reveals the ultimate realization that being in love isn’t so bad after all.

“This morning I woke up and thought I had died.”

“I kept trying to write love songs that were cool, but it turns out, love isn’t cool. It’s cheesy and happy and confusing and scary all at the same time. Once I realized that writing love songs wasn’t so hard anymore. You know when you know, but falling in love can still be a confusing rollercoaster of emotions, especially when you spend your days trying to write songs about your feelings. This song was the missing piece for me. I really wanted something fun and upbeat, a song you could dance to in your room to and one that made you feel like the main character in a movie.” – Sarah Barrios

Sarah Barrios grew up in a musical household. Therefore, her journey to becoming an artist shouldn’t be surprising. But like many young music lovers, the idea of doing this as a job seems impossible, at first. Turning her talent from songwriting into hits for other artists paid off and now she’s living out her dream, doing it for herself.

‘Love Songs’ shows that for all that heartbreak there are definitely still some good things before you reach the inevitable messy, tearful end. The song follows hot on the heels of Sarah Barrios’s impressive debut single, entitled, “I Didn’t Mean To”, and last month’s stripped-back ballad, “Mourn The Living”. Furthermore, “Love Song” serves as a wonderful presentation to what listeners can expect to hear from Sarah Barrios in the near future as she continues her rise to fame.

We recommend jumping on the Sarah Barrios bandwagon while there’s still room to board. Also, add her “Love Songs” single to your personal playlist and let us know how you feel about it in the comment section below.
