Roni Bar Hadas – “Red Lines” (Analog Sessions)

“Sometimes, I disappoint myself ‘cause I don’t want to disappoint you. Sometimes, I disappoint my parents ‘cause I don’t want to disappoint myself. And life is just a little more challenging than I expected. What do I want to do? What should I do now? Is it time to trust myself? God knows I’ve made some mistakes when love felt too hard to get.” – lyrics

‘Red Lines’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who struggles to find the great balance between being openhearted and losing herself in a budding relationship with her significant other. Apparently, what she needs to do is lower the volume of the noises inside her mind and focus on her positive thoughts. After finding clarity, she tells her companion, “Sometimes, I really want to stop but I keep on going ‘cause I love you. But then why does it feel so wrong?”

‘Red Lines’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Celest, Lianne La Havas, and Eloise. The soulful tune possesses saturated drums, bass, and guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with Adult Contemporary and modern pop elements.  Furthermore, “Red Lines” is the first single from Roni Bar Hadas’ second studio album.

“When I’m not brave enough, I get used to being confused and cannot always see the red lines.”

“I wrote ‘Red Lines’ when I felt overwhelmed by the complexities of the relationships in my life. I had a gut feeling that told me that I was losing my inner truth while trying to please everyone. There are so many voices inside my head, and it can be really challenging to know which one to trust. This song is a reminder for me to take a deep breath and lower the volume of the noises in my mind. When it’s peaceful and compassionate there, everything is much clearer. I hope this song will encourage us to listen to our hearts with patience and bravery so we can all find our own voice.” – Roni Bar Hadas explained

Roni Bar Hadas was born into a musical family. Growing up, songwriting became an inseparable part of finding her way in the world, and an escape route to satisfaction and comfort. She started her musical journey as a classical musician, yet she felt the need to create her own original work and began to pursue the freedom and courage missing in her experience as a classical singer. After years of playing with various well-known artists around Israel, Roni burst onto the scene with her debut album, “Calm the Beast,” in late 2020. The project was received with love by listeners from all over the world and singles from the album were added to the biggest radio playlists in Israel (glglz & kan 88).
