During this time, I was in a rut at my job, my mental health was suffering, and my boyfriend was in the process of immigrating to the U.S. There was an incredible amount of uncertainty and fear in the air. Old traumas resurfaced for me, and I was forced to face a lot of my deepest pain. I wrote ‘Break Ur Heart’ about the fact that sometimes in love, your circumstances will be really difficult and they will challenge you to grow. This can be heartbreaking, but if you lead with love you can make it out of the crash and burn, and you can do it again.” – Neia Jane stated
