Mike Rogers – “Over Love” featuring Carmen Rose

“I’m sorry for the late nights in the backyard when you thought that I was the one. Sorry for the crossfires, I told you I’m fine, but I knew I was not. Sorry if I told you I want you, I knew that you weren’t enough. I promised you the truth, so I tell you that this wasn’t love.” – lyrics

‘Over Love’ tells the tale of a young woman who comes to the conclusion that she doesn’t want to be involved in a romantic relationship with her significant other.

Apparently, she still needs this individual in her life, maybe as a friend, but she definitely doesn’t want to be romantically involved with this person anymore. Her reason⏤it doesn’t feel right when they touch each other.

Therefore, she tells her lover that it’s over for good, but does so in an apologetical type of way. But still, the bitterness of the truth hurts because the other individual is still madly in love with her.

‘Over Love’ contains a relatable storyline, beautiful sounding vocals, and luxurious instrumentation flavored with electro-pop and urban dance elements.
