Mara Connor is a singer-songwriter/guitarist from Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her debut single, entitled, “No Fun”, from her upcoming debut album.
Mara Connor – “No Fun”
“You know it’s no fun when I’m looking in your eyes. But you’re singing to someone else, you know it’s no fun. I waited too long to say what I meant to say. ‘Cause if there is someone else, I waited too long.” – lyrics
‘No Fun’ tells the tale of a lovely woman who is head-over-heels in love with a guy she desires to be in a romantic relationship with. But, she’s hesitant in revealing how she truly feels about him. What she wants to know is does he feel the same warm way about her?
Eventually, time passes by, and she gathers enough courage to express to him how she truly feels. But her happiness disappears when she sees him talking to another woman. It’s no fun seeing them enjoying each other’s company. Suddenly, she realizes, maybe, she waited too long to say what she meant to say.
Mara Connor – “No Fun”
‘No Fun’ contains a relatable storyline, gorgeous pop vocals, and a ‘70s-inspired instrumentation flavored with retro-soul and pop elements.
Mara Connor recorded her upcoming album to tape at the Bomb Shelter in Nashville with Andrija Tokic (producer of Alabama Shakes, Hurray For The Riff Raff). Also, the anticipated project will feature duets with Langhorne Slim and Joseph Arthur.
We recommend adding Mara Connor’s “No Fun” single to your personal playlist.
