Man Alive releases a breezy indie-pop single, entitled, “Colours”

As co-founder, guitarist, and co-songwriter for Kodaline, Mark Prendergast has achieved over a billion streams, three #1 albums in Ireland, two Top 5 records in the UK, and played shows all over the world. Now he introduces a new side to his creativity as he shares his new solo project, Man Alive (@manalivemusic), along with a brand new music video for his breezy new indie-pop single, “Colours,” via Vertex Music Ltd.

Man Alive – “Colours” music video

“Oh, when life stops moving you, you don’t know where you’re going. I know that there’s a side to you, a side that you’re not showing. Step on into the light with me, I’m just trying to make you see. You’ve been sat in the dark lately.” – lyrics

‘Colours’ tells a wonderful tale about a young guy who shares a budding relationship with his new significant other. It’s heartwarming knowing that his partner doesn’t have to change who she is when she is with him. “Step on into the light with me,” he tells her. “I’m just trying to make you see.”

‘Colours’ is just that, a colorful feel-good song to get your juices running. The energetic tune possesses youthful energy, saturated drums, groovy bass, cinematic strings, and funky guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with alternative, indie pop, and a little retro energy. Furthermore, “Colours” is taken from Man Alive’s upcoming debut solo EP, entitled, “Colours,” available on September 15th, 2023.

“We’re all a little strange but we hide it.”
