Maisy Kay releases an appealing music video for her “Mascara Tears” single

Maisy Kay is a UK-raised singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released an appealing music video for her “Mascara Tears” single, co-written with the legendary, Billy Idol.

Maisy Kay – “Mascara Tears” music video

‘Mascara Tears’ tells a heartfelt tale about an unhappy young woman who would rather live in a dark world rather than a colorful one. Apparently, she also likes the feeling of pain and only gets happy whenever it rains outside her home. Later, she nonchalantly admits in a pessimistic way, “Each day another hurt – must be what I deserve.”

‘Mascara Tears’ contains a gloomy narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The likable tune possesses lush instrumentation flavored with contemporary and emo-pop elements. Furthermore,  “Mascara Tears” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Maisy Kay in the near future as she continues to release new music.

Combining her experiences of growing up in the English countryside and her time in California, Maisy Kay has built an extensive body of work that displays her true range as an artist. She has been honing her skills as a musician and vocalist since she was a young girl and has caught all the right ears. So far, she has worked with Lukas “LULOU” Loules, f/k/a Lukas Hilbert (Max Martin’s close collaborator), and the legendary Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Also, Kay has collaborated with Timbaland and Desmond Child.
