‘Late Summer Day’ tells a heartfelt tale about an unhappy young woman who shares a toxic relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she has nothing left to give because she has given her all. One day, on a late summer day, she finally finds the courage to walk away from her partner after many years of them being together.
‘Late Summer Day’ contains a relationship-based narrative, attractive vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the laid-back tune possesses jazz-tinged instrumentation wonderfully flavored with a chill ‘70s indie-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Late Summer Day” serves as a fantastic presentation of what listeners can expect to hear on lùisa’s upcoming Spring 2021 album.

“’Late Summer Day’ is about letting go of a toxic relationship. It’s about the insight that sometimes the ones we love are not the ones we can be with anymore. This clarifying moment of self-empowerment is coming in like a long-awaited, fresh rainfall on a late summer day that finally washes away the oppressive sticky heat. Sometimes we are the ones to cut ourselves loose from something or someone that holds us back. When I wrote this song, I listened to a lot of jazzy tapes, and I think this may have influenced the songwriting. Also, I played the piano again on this song for the first time in a while, which I really enjoyed.” – lùisa explained
This is our first time listening to lùisa, and we must say we are impressed with her ability to draw us into her world. Not too long ago, the talented singer performed on “Inas Nacht”, one of Germany’s most popular late-night shows. Also, she is the first and only German artist to sign a contract with the Canadian indie label, Nettwerk. So far, her music has taken her to countries like Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, England, and the USA. Furthermore, her song, “Under The Wild Skies”, was recently used in the TV-Series “Orange Is The New Black” and “Heartbeat”.
