Lauren Spring is a talented singer-songwriter from Port St. Joe, Florida. Not too long ago, she released a dreamy alternative-folk tune, entitled, “I Remember You.”

“When I hear that song, you’re a soft-focus memory, and I’m whoever I used to be. Would you even know me now? I can’t ever see the sharper edges of you and me, just see you standing there in a golden glare of the afternoon. Ain’t nostalgia a funny thing? Paints a picture so carelessly. Prettier than it’s supposed to be.” – lyrics

‘I Remember You’ tells a bittersweet tale about a young woman who remembers an individual with who she was once madly in love with. Apparently, things didn’t work out as planned, and they each went their own separate ways. However, every now and then, she thinks about this person and the good times they experienced together. Later, she admits that she doesn’t regret the perfect mess they made.

‘I Remember You’ contains a reflective narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Maggie Rogers, Phoebe Bridgers, and Taylor Swift. The nostalgic tune possesses guitar-driven instrumentation flavored with Americana, indie, and alternative-folk elements. Furthermore, “I Remember You” serves as a tasty appetizer of what listeners can expect to hear on Lauren Spring’s EP, entitled, “I Remember You.”

“The way you made me feel like we were the only two alive.”

“I Remember You” is about choosing to remember someone in a kinder light than what the relationship may have been in reality. If you chose pain, you feel pain when you remember it. If you choose to love, then you’re flooded with love and nostalgia. I’ve had plenty of opportunities to learn that lesson and chose the more immature road for longer than I’d like to admit. But I’m choosing love more and more and feel it coming back to me all the time now. I love the message of this song and am so glad to put it out in to the universe.” – Lauren Spring explained

Lauren Spring is a member of The Krickets, an award-winning folk group, and (the Americana group) The Bo Spring Band. The Krickets (Spring, Emily Stuckey, and Rachel Grubb) have released two studio albums. Spring produced their latest single, entitled, “These Games,” which won the W.A.M. Song of the Year in the folk category. When she isn’t touring, Spring enjoys writing for TV/Film as a voice of First Note Entertainment, a featured artist collaborator with L.A.-based Darkbloom Productions, and co-writing for other artists.
