Lalu releases a lovely electro-pop tune, entitled, “Piece to Keep”

Lalu is a British-American singer-songwriter from Luxembourg. Not too long ago, she released a lovely electro-pop tune, entitled, “Piece to Keep,” which denounces the male-dominated music industry.

‘Piece to Keep’ emerged in the spotlight after Capital Bra (one of Germany’s hottest rappers) contributed a verse to it and released the song via YouTube. The new pop offering went viral via fan accounts and reaction videos. Also, the song hit national radio waves but was never officially released. And Lalu’s version fell into obscurity—until now. After linking with producer, Alex Beitzke (James Arthur, Florence + The Machine), the result is not just an anthemic track dedicated to female empowerment, but an audacious and necessary reclamation of her own power.

‘Piece to Keep’ contains a relatable narration, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The likable tune possesses lush instrumentation interweaved with electro-pop and alternative elements. Furthermore, “Piece to Keep” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Lalu in the near future as she continues to release new music.

Lalu has enjoyed a multicultural upbringing. She loves culture and art and is inspired by the early 1920s in her music and work. Also, her sound can best be described as dark, mellow-pop with some rays of sunlight shining through.
