Kira Puru is a talented singer-songwriter from Australia. Not too long ago, she released a lovely visualizer for her “Talk With Me” single. The song was written with Andrew Burford (Hilltop Hoods/Sia), produced by Adam Hyde (Peking Duk/Keli Holiday), and mixed and mastered by Dave Hammer (Lime Cordiale/flowerkid).

“I wanna wash your dirty laundry, I wanna run you a bath. Stir milk and sugar in your coffee, I want you alone, but you don’t even know. Fling my very body into the ocean, flush all of my money down the drain. Wouldn’t hesitate to burn every memory, the second you call my name. Come on and talk with me, love is in the little things. I only dream of the day, I will hear you say you wanna talk with me.” – lyrics
‘Talk With Me’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she dreams of the day she will hear her partner say, “Let’s talk.” To secure that monumental conversation with her partner, she would jump out the window of a moving plane and give up everyone she loves. Later, she tells her companion, “I wanna be there in the morning, I wanna hold your hand. I’ll f*** your brain and not your body. I want you alone, how do I let you know?”
Inspired by the culture of obsession, social media, and para-social relationships, “Talk With Me” is a step into new territory for Kira Puru. Though its roots are found in the same playful, anthemic sensibilities that have defined her previous work, “Talk With Me” is a refreshing twist to quench the thirst of fans new and old.
“Wouldn’t hesitate to burn every memory the second you call my name.”
“It’s about crushing. It’s about dream-watching a 20-year romance with someone you saw from across the dancefloor. It’s about abandoning your fundamental core values and relegating everyone you’ve ever loved to the sidelines to make the perfect morning coffee for someone who doesn’t care that you exist.” – Kira Puru explained
Fearless and disruptive, Kira Puru is back to remind us why she is a pop icon for the modern age. Both on-stage and online, Kira has earned a reputation for captivating crowds as a razor-sharp performer with a personality to match. Recent years have seen fans feverishly awaiting a new offering.
