KACEY releases a melancholic pop single, entitled, “Inevitable”

KACEY is a 22-year-old up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Long Island, New York. Not too long ago, she released a melancholic pop single, titled, “Inevitable.”

KACEY – “Inevitable” single

Being on my own means crying all alone. I just really wanna go home and live inside my dome. It’s gonna be hard without you and watching our memories. On my phone they’re staring back at me, I’m trying not to make a scene.” – lyrics

‘Inevitable’ finds a vulnerable KACEY wishing she could shut off her brain so she won’t feel gloomy. Apparently, she doesn’t want to be depressed. However, she has convinced her subconscious mind that being depressed is unavoidable.

‘Inevitable’ contains a mental health-based narrative and pleasing vocals that will resonate well with listeners who are suffering from depression and loneliness. The moody tune possesses thudding drums, bass, and guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with alternative, soft rock, and indie-pop elements. Furthermore, “Inevitable” serves as an introduction to what listeners can expect to hear from KACEY in the near future as she continues to release new music.

“I wrote ‘Inevitable’ a couple of months ago about wanting to be somewhere but not really knowing where that place is. Also, it’s about being in a rut in life, feeling down, and knowing that it’s just something that you can’t control—even though you don’t want to be. ‘Inevitable’ is about the idea of being alone and what can go through a person’s mind during those times. Sometimes, when I am alone, I tend to get pretty sad. Especially when there’s nothing to do and I’m just in bed watching TV because there’s nothing else to think about but the things that are on my mind. So, when I say things like being on my own means crying all alone or I wish I could shut off my brain, those are just different things that I am thinking about.

While I was living in FL and was getting ready to head back to NY, I was feeling really conflicted because, on one hand, I did miss my family and friends back home in NY, but on the other hand, I love FL and consider it my second home. So, I was really having conflicted feelings and was really torn about it. So, when I say, I just really wanna go home, and, It’s gonna be hard without you, that’s what I’m talking about. I had a lot on my mind and was pretty unhappy about it because I knew, either way, I was gonna be sad and that it was inevitable.” – KACEY explained

Music is one of KACEY’s biggest passions and something she has been wanting her entire life. She hopes her “Inevitable” single can bring out emotions in listeners worldwide.
