“‘Strange’ initially had a bigger production. But I decided that its vulnerability was best portrayed by a more stripped-down version. This is the most naked song I’ve ever done. The soundscape is based on different resonances. It reflects a relationship, a continuous vibration that eventually dies out.” – Juliander explained
‘Strange’ is a comforting, stripped-down single which explores the complex intricacies of love. The haunting single possesses emotive instrumentation flavored with contemporary and indie-pop elements. Furthermore, “Strange” is featured on Juliander’s anticipated sophomore EP, entitled, “Introspection.”

“The process of writing this EP started when the world shut down. It was a strange time when I actually found time to prioritize learning and doing things that I hadn’t focused on before. It was always a dream of mine to take an initial idea and turn it into a song by myself, and this EP was about making that a reality. As part of writing the EP, I actually bought my first analog synthesizer, which was made way before I was born, and the sounds from that sparked the ideas for the whole project. The EP has been a journey of mine over the past couple of years, and I’m excited to have transformed those initial thoughts into a complete experience for listeners.” – Juliander explained
‘Introspection’ is the culmination of a personal journey that began in 2020 when Juliander found himself secluded in a studio during the global pandemic. Surrounded by analog vintage synths, and gear that he could only dream of, Juliander carefully crafted the soundscape of his second EP while in isolation.
The result of Juliander’s process started back in 2020, is a collection of deeply personal songs that have since blossomed to showcase his artistic growth and introspective exploration, delivering a unique blend of genres that highlight his versatile songwriting talents. The EP is a testament to his boundless creativity and another milestone in his evolution as an artist.

Juliander broke onto the international music scene in 2018 with his feature on Norwegian producer and DJ, Alan Walker’s hit single, “All Falls Down,” alongside Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals. The song has since amassed over 700 million streams and has been gold-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. This was followed by the release of his debut EP, “Afterglow,” via Sony Music Sweden in 2018, which has since garnered over 35 million streams on Spotify alone.

With captivating vocals, a soulful sensibility, and versatile writing, Juliander is able to navigate multiple genres. Since having started to release music in 2017, Juliander has toured with Alan Walker and Zara Larsson, and performed on some of the biggest stages in the world including Coachella and Summerburst.
