Jessica Hart – “Relapse” single

“I haven’t released music in a few years due to both too many happy and sad moments, and a lot of healing through past traumas. I knew that when I did release something again, I wanted it to be real and reflective of who I am, and what I’ve gone through. Also, I struggle with addiction and mental health, and I know a lot of other people do too. I don’t want to stay silent about it because silence only breeds stigma.” – Jessica Hart explained

‘Relapse’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-welcoming vocals, and tuneful melodies. The likable tune possesses vibrant instrumentation flavored with a warm indie-alternative vibration. Furthermore, “Relapse” serves as a wonderful presentation to what listeners can expect to hear from Jessica Hart in the near future.

“When co-writing ‘Relapse,’ the very first line I wrote was ‘Put down the bottle.’ That’s what I would tell myself every morning when I woke up. To me, the song is talking both to the person suffering the addiction, to those around them, and to the substance itself. Sometimes it really does feel that it’s all that you’ve got. Addiction is lonely. I want others that are struggling out there to know that they are not alone.” – Jessica Hart explained

Jessica Hart was raised in Belleville, Ontario, and has lived in the Greater Toronto Area for the past ten years. She began exploring her creative expression young with interests in theatre, guitar, composition, and poetry. Hart’s folk-influenced style reflects her experiences with mental health challenges. And she describes her music as a way to express her emotions and heal. Also, her music draws inspiration from trance and dance music.

Since releasing her well-received debut single, “Soul Phazed,” Hart has spent the last couple of years refining her sound. Therefore, look out for more from her very soon because it sounds like she has found herself.
