“I wrote ‘Your Karma’ about when a relationship turns sour. It’s best to move on, rise above it, and let karma work its magic because once you know that you’re a good person they’ll always just be a lesson in your life, but you’ll forever be their loss.” – Jessica Brett explained

“Your Karma” is an ode to empowerment after a relationship ends. The song contains a post-breakup narrative, relatable lyrics, and pleasing vocals that will resonate with Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, and Ellie Goulding supporters.

After successfully moving on from a failed relationship, Jessica Brett sings to her ex-partner, “I know this may sound cruel, but the problem here is you.” She doesn’t have hate in her heart and hopes her ex is living a good life without her. Later, she admits, “Broke my own heart loving you, after all you put me through. They say the Devil works hard but you work harder.”

“Your Karma” follows mildly on the heels of Brett’s previously released singles, “I’ll Come Back Better,” “Sleep At Night,”  and her 2022 debut single, “BYE BYE.”

“Loving you is such a bitter pill.”

Growing up listening to different musical genres, Jessica experiments with her music and predominantly turns to pop when creating her tracks. She uses catchy melodies with an infectious beat and experiments with a mix of synth-pop, R&B, and alternative pop.
