“Trying to keep my eyes open, hands in the air so I can let go. But it’s a month we’ve been locked in and I’m acting like psycho. Haven’t you looked at the news? It’s ok, probably better to stay. Ooh, in the dark about it. I’m not religious but I would pray ‘cause the world ain’t okay.” – lyrics

‘How To Be Wholesome’ tells a relevant tale of an anxiety-laden young woman who desires to be free. Apparently, she’s been meditating, concentrating, and focusing on keeping her head above water. Later, she admits that she belongs to a generation that believes they have-it-all. But, in reality, they’re sad, lost, and in denial.

‘How To Be Wholesome’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation decorated with a vibrant indie-pop aroma. Furthermore, “How To Be Wholesome” was written while Holograph was pent-up in LA. going COVID-19 crazy.

“Still can’t process what’s going on in the world. Everyone else is feeling crazy rn, right?? We were feeling pretty claustrophobic with the COVID lockdown when we wrote this. When the world is chaotic and you’re being forced to stay isolated, it’s easy to feel like you’re alone. Also, it’s really easy for us to be super hard on ourselves anyway. But with all this going on, it emphasized our self-criticism. This song’s just about wanting to be happy, but not really knowing how to do that in a healthy way. Hope you’re taking care of yourselves.” – Holograph

Holograph makes music as colorful as their clothes. They write lyrics about the world as they see it and every song tempts you towards a sonic journey. With their music as unpredictable as their moods, you never know where they’re going next.
