Freedust is a Barcelona-based project led by the Italian producer, Daniele Carmosino. Not too long ago, they released a lovely music video for their “Take Me There” single, featuring Saphie Wells, a Peruvian singer-songwriter based in Barcelona, Spain.
Freedust – “Take Me There” video featuring Saphie Wells
‘Take Me There’ contains a dreamy narrative, silky/elegant vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Bebel Gilberto and Minnie Riperton. The likable tune possesses tribal Latin percussions, jazz chord progressions, bubbly drums, groovy bass, and minimal analog synth-laden instrumentation flavored with neo-soul, indie-R&B, and nu-jazz elements. Also, “Take Me There” is the title track of Freedust’s new album, which contains seven instrumentals.
Freedust’s sound contains blended jazzy pop layered with loose, lighthearted vocals to create a synthesis of sound as classic as it is new. Initially founded by Daniele Carmosino and Swedish singer, Lisa Widmark, the project has gone on to feature a number of accomplished artists around the globe. Freedust creates feel-good melodies, irresistibly bouncy beats, and a raw, soulful musical energy with a vintage vibe.
