FADES (brothers Nick and Luke Jekyll) is a songwriting/production duo from London, England. Not too long ago, they released a lovely electro-dance tune, entitled, “Motion,” featuring vocalist, Courtney.
FADES – “Motion” single
“We wanted something dance-driven, and funky. But still retaining our darker house roots and production.” – FADES stated
‘Motion’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Raye, Elderbrook, and Dua Lipa. The dancefloor-friendly tune possesses live guitars and groovy bass-laden instrumentation flavored with electro-dance, alternative-house, and contemporary pop elements. Furthermore, “Motion” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from FADES in the near future as they continue to release new music.
“We experimented with this live at a small show at Ministry in Elephant and Castle earlier this year and just loved the way it could relate as a pop-friendly single. But it could also become this wider, DJ-friendly late-night house tune too. We’ve got a lot of tunes – we know exactly what space we’re playing in, and every new collaboration is adding something new so we’re really excited to see where this goes.” – FADES stated
FADES’ recent singles, “Obsession” and “Aware,” gained support from Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. Also, their songs were synced on MTV and Netflix during 2021; and BBC, Love Island, and Netflix have used the duo’s singles. 2022 offers further promise from and for FADES, with a few tunes already simmering in the sonic kitchen.
