Don – “Selfish Baby” single
“Don’t say, ‘I’m holding you, babe.’ I saw you turning getting sick again. And, ‘You selfish, baby.’ Don’t tell me what I don’t already know. Don’t say, ‘I’m holding you, babe.’ I’m the one that’s sleeping alone again. And, come back, baby, I’m not the one you wanna hold back.” – lyrics
Don is a name you should remember. Her “Selfish Baby” single firmly establishes her as an exciting artist to watch.
Her likable tune tells a heartfelt tale of a young woman who shares a complicated relationship with her significant other.
‘Selfish Baby’ contains a bittersweet storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and well-placed melodies. Also, the song possesses synth-laden instrumentation flavored with a modern ‘80s-pop aroma.
‘Selfish Baby’ is the title track from Don’s 4-track debut EP.
Don – “Selfish Baby” EP
“‘Selfish Baby’ is an open dialogue about a relationship that continuously, selfishly kept me waiting.” – Don
‘Selfish Baby’ EP serves as Don’s biggest moment yet.
The project began when she met Joe Keefe via her roommate at the time (Joe’s best friend) while living in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Not too long afterward, they co-wrote and Joe produced Don’s debut EP out of his home studio in Eagle Rock, CA.
