davvn (Mike and McCall) is a Boston-based musical duo. Not too long ago, they released a heartfelt indie-pop tune, entitled, “lonely ever after.”

‘lonely ever after’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who is done with feeling like she is a failure. Apparently, she’s not. Therefore, she decides to be her own savior instead of waiting for someone to save her. Later, she admits that she’s done with fairy tales, and waiting for someone to wake her up with a kiss is no longer a desirable option for her.
‘lonely ever after’ contains a relationship-based narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with a dreamy indie-pop aroma. Furthermore, “lonely ever after” serves as a wonderful presentation of what listeners can expect to hear from davvn in the near future as they continue to release new music.

So why don’t we hear stories that end happily with ‘lonely ever after?’ Ever since I was a little girl, I associated being happy with being with somebody – constantly searching for someone to make me whole. We wrote this song for everyone out there who feels that pressure to find a prince or princess – screw fairy tales, let’s be lonely ever after.” – davvn explained.
davvn aims to create the emotions caught in staying up all night and watching the sunrise as a new day begins. They bonded over their shared love of pop-punk music from the 2000s.
