“I wanna know what’s up when you wanna know what’s up. I gotta say we’re done, when you gotta make sh*t up. I’ve had my time, love, given the signs, then some. Don’t wanna find one reason to give this up, but I think I’m gonna.” – lyrics

‘Like a Lady’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she demands respect and wants her significant other to treat her like a lady. Later, she admits that she must be crazy to think that they can make it as a couple.

‘Like a Lady’ contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocalization, and tuneful melodies. The soulfully smooth tune possesses electric guitar-and-drum-driven instrumentation flavored with a bluesy alternative-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Like a Lady” serves as a tasty appetizer to what’s to come from Courtney Wolfe’s forthcoming EP, entitled, “New Moon,” available on June 11, 2021.

“I’ve had a fine run but I thought we’ve just begun. Think that I’ll find some reasons to give this up.”

“Sometimes sadness turns to anger or frustration, which is exactly what happened when writing ‘Like a Lady.’ That frustration quickly turned to empowerment, when I wrote the song with that blues-style twist that I had been wanting to create. I am hoping ‘Like A Lady’ can serve for anyone who needs to realize the importance of never settling for less than they deserve. Also, the song can work for both a good cry fest or a good wine night. I feel that now is the perfect time to release it as I am at peace with how things ended and am looking forward to a new beginning – or new moon.” – Courtney Wolfe explained

Wolfe’s “New Moon” EP will take listeners on a deep journey through the beginning highs and the darkest lows of a relationship. To eventually finding peace and forgiveness with oneself and the possibility of someone new. With the intention to release music built upon a storyline, Wolfe knew this was the perfect combination of tracks for her debut EP. Also, she’s confident the project will enable her to connect with listeners on a whole new level as they relate to the songwriting and stories of love, heartbreak, and peace.
