BAYLI is an artist and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. Not too long ago, she released an endearing R&B tune, entitled, “16.”

“‘16’ tells the story of my mom, whom my family and I recently lost unexpectedly. Born an orphan in the UK, my mom immigrated to NYC from London at age 16. This song is a fast-forward through the hardships she faced in the years of her travels and the things she taught us from her experiences. It’s my first ever attempt at some type of memoir-esque writing. ’16’ is about how strong, epic, and beautiful my mother is. She is the reason I know how to be a strong woman today.” – BAYLI explained
‘16’ is a poignant ode to BAYLI’s mother, which originated as a poem. The likable tune contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Furthermore, “16” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on BAYLI’s forthcoming debut EP, “stories from new york,” due out September 10, 2021, via Snafu Records. Also, “16” follows hot on the heels of BAYLI’s collaboration with ILoveMakonnen, entitled, “SICK!”

“My overall intention is to make an impact in pop music and culture showing the diversity that truly exists in Black culture. I think my music will show alternative Black art in many different shapes and forms. Also, I am really concerned with the environment and how pop culture, through music and fashion, can have a bigger impact on saving our planet.” – BAYLI stated
BAYLI’s infectious melodies and signature songwriting were cultivated under the mentorship of music guru, Rick Rubin. That catapulted her to become an in-demand songwriter under Warner Chappell. So far, BAYLI has worked with Justin Tranter, Take A Daytrip, Jesse McCartney, Baby Goth, Blu DeTiger, and Bea Miller. Also, she has landed opportunities in film/TV sync and creative collaborations with brands like Bose, HBO, ABC, Nickelodeon, AT&T, Entourage: The Movie, Grown-ish, Barbie, and The Brooklyn Nets. With her debut EP in the pipeline, BAYLI is full speed ahead in 2021.
