‘Pride’ tells a heartfelt tale of a young woman who shares a problematic relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she’s hurt ’cause there’s word floating around that her partner has acquired a new woman who resembles her in so many different ways. Therefore, she reveals that if she finds out that something is definitely going on between them, she will confront the woman outside of her home. Later, she admits that she’s willing to put her pride aside if there’s a chance of them working out their differences.
‘Pride’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation scented with a dark contemporary R&B aroma.
