AriA – “Eight Thirteen” single

“I’m afraid I will forget you. My future children never met you. I’ve been sewing back the pieces until I get to see you again. I still feel you in the sunshine though we didn’t get enough time. You had every color now I’m just tryin’ to fill it back in. How am I supposed to be okay when nothing in my life’s the same. You’re the one who taught me to be brave, I’ll save it for another day. I’ll be missing you forever, I’ll never be the same. I will sing to you in heaven ‘til the angels know your name.” – lyrics

10 years ago, AriA experienced an unspeakable loss that she could only express through song as a way to process it.

‘Eight Thirteen’ revisits that loss after 10 years of wrestling with grief and coming to a new conclusion of what it all means for her now.

The sentimental tune contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the song possessives piano-driven instrumentation scented with an emo-pop aroma.

AriA - “Eight Thirteen” cover

“The track title, ‘Eight Thirteen’, refers to the date I lost my dad to cancer 10 years ago. My dad was a person who supported my dreams but died before seeing his own. In the early months after he passed, I could only cope through our shared love of music, writing, ‘How Could You’—a soberingly raw song, asking him how I would survive missing him forever. This arrestingly emotional follow up captures grief and love that never dies while sharing how I found a way to reignite our connection and the courage to pursue our shared dream. Above all, it is a tribute to my father, but also a tribute to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Whether it be through death or life circumstances.” – AriA

AriA focuses her energy on channeling real feelings into all that she creates. Her hope is to form a deep connection with those who experience her music.
