“Looks like you’re happy, so happy it hurts. Thought distance would heal this but I don’t feel different. I know I should move on, you’re in the past. But how you been keeping in LA every weekend? Wonder if you ever still think about me? ‘Cause, when you left you made it look so damn easy. Am I a fool to even think you might miss me?” – lyrics

‘Spaces’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who finds herself missing her ex-partner. Apparently, she’s having a hard time filling the void and struggling to get over what they had. She thought other people would help to fill up the spaces, but she was wrong. Later, she admits, “Thought about calling you up, but honestly, I don’t wanna give you the satisfaction of knowing that I’m still out here looking for distractions.”

‘Spaces’ contains a post-relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The sentimentally unhappy tune possesses guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with a warm contemporary pop vibration. Furthermore, “Spaces” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on NOA’s highly-anticipated second EP, entitled, “Hurting.”
