Centered around the heartfelt refrain, “the thing I love about me is you,” the song captures the feeling of finding strength through connection, whether romantic or platonic. It’s a warm, radio-ready earworm that showcases both artists’ dynamic vocals, blending finger-picked acoustic guitars, tambourines, piano, and lush harmonies into a sound that’s both intimate and uplifting.

Reflecting on his experience working with close friend, Andy Grammer, on the song, MAX says, “The Thing I Love is a really special song for me. There are so many people in my life, personally, who bring out the best in me and make me better. This song is dedicated to them. Having Andy Grammer, a longtime friend and incredible artist, is such an honor and privilege.”

On working with MAX, Andy Grammer says, “I’ve always admired MAX’s artistry and creative spirit, so having the opportunity to collaborate on this song was truly a joy. It’s such an upbeat song, and we had such a fun time bringing this one to life.”
